Crystal Spring Receive GMP Certification
We're pleased to announce that Crystal Spring Consumer Division, has achieved ISO certification in Goods Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for the manufacture and supply of cosmetic products.
Following a rigorous auditing process, Crystal Spring was assessed and certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 22716:200 - an international standard, which provides guidelines for the production, control, storage and shipment of cosmetic products.
Crystal Spring’s Managing Director, Thomas Laird, said: “We’re thrilled to have passed the GMP audit. This quality assurance demonstrates to our customers that our products are consistently produced and controlled, according to quality standards and gives us a great framework on which to expand our manufacturing capability to meet growing demand for our products.
As a business we have experienced significant growth this year. We have further developed the Salt of the Earth range to include eight new products – four new roll on natural deodorants and four new travel sprays - and also expanded the range available in Waitrose and Holland & Barratt in the UK and grown our distribution network in Europe. The GMP certification is essential to our future growth and as an internationally recognised standard, will play a vital role in growing our portfolio of distributors outside of the UK”.
Unlike traditional antiperspirants, which block the skin’s pores to hinder sweat production and contain synthetic chemicals such as Aluminium Chlorohydrate, Triclosan and Parabens, Salt of the Earth natural deodorants work by leaving a thin layer of mineral salts on the surface of the skin, which inhibit the growth of odour causing bacteria without blocking pores.
The Salt of the Earth range is approved by the Vegetarian and Vegan Societies.
